Clubs eyeing Kalvin Phillips eagerly await Manchester City’s concession on a £7m loan fee. Crystal Palace, Newcastle, and West Ham are monitoring the midfielder, with Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Juventus also expressing interest. 

Clubs hover as Manchester City wavers on RM42 million fee

Phillips, having struggled since joining the club from Leeds, seeks a move to ensure regular playtime and secure a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad. The loan’s hefty cost impedes negotiations, as potential suitors are hesitant to pay £7m for a player available for less than half a season. 

Optimism lingers that the fee might decrease as the transfer deadline approaches, with Phillips seemingly excluded from Pep Guardiola’s plans.
