Kheng Wah Restaurant’s Luxurious Feast Pot Now Takes Center Stage in Chinese New Year Celebration

Are you worried about what to eat when the Chinese New Year arrives? Choose from Zhang Yong bucket fish, Kheng Wah Restaurant’s Luxurious Feast Pot, or Mama’s Bun and Stewed Fish Restaurant’s Northeastern Iron Pot Stew Package and Spare Ribs Giant Dumpling Pot combo for your reunion dinner.

Megah Rise Mall, Petaling Jaya recently organised a Chinese New Year Auspicious Menu Media Tasting Event to sample the new dishes that the restaurant has introduced for the Year of the Dragon.

Kheng Wah’s luxurious feast pot takes the center stage  

In conjunction with the New Year festivities, Kheng Wah’s Zhang Yong bucket fish is offering a set menu for 4 persons called “Four Happiness” (from RM296), a set menu for 6 persons called “Six Luck” (from RM396), and a set menu for 8 persons called “Eight Directions of Fortune” (from RM536). “(from RM536) and “Ten Perfections” (from RM656) for 10 persons.

The “Ten Perfects” set menu features 4.5kg of fresh Tilapia fish, a soup base, Prosperity Yee Sang, premium pork belly, Maling luncheon meat, Australian beef Striploin, melty yolk shrimp ball, brown sugar glutinous rice cake, lotus root , baby chinese cabbage, spike potatoes and so on, amongst which the fish is tender and sweet.

Kheng Wah Restaurant not only serves Asian cuisine, but also has two special dishes this year. One is the  Luxurious Feast Pot, priced at RM368, which includes 10 abalones in broth, smoked duck breast, flower mushroom, sea prawns, Japanese scallop, sea cucumber, fish maw, Bailing mushroom, Chinese mushroom, taro, herbal chicken, Tianjin Chinese cabbage, broccoli and white radish, which is full of ingredients.

Another delicacy from Kheng Wah is the Prosperity Abundance Abalone Slice Yee Sang, which is delicious and costs RM28 for in-house or RM38 for takeaway.

For those who have had their fill of spicy Sichuan hot pots, there’s also the Northeast’s speciality Iron Pot Stew, which is a great way to sit down and have a reunion dinner together.

Its “Malaysia’s first original waterlogged pancake” and “we only sell live fish” specialities are worth tasting.

We recommend two dishes, the first being the fresh fish waterlogged pancake set. The main course is either Dragon Tiger Grouper (RM198), Tilapia Fish (RM88) or Patin Fish (RM138); the side dishes are Eggplant, Napa Cabbage,Tofu, Broad Noodle and waterlogged pancake, which are served with a choice of Hot & Sour, Original, Extra spicy and Non Spicy.

The second course is the Spare Ribs Giant Dumpling Pot combo, priced at RM139. The main dish is pork ribs; the side dishes are broad noodles, potatoes, corn pieces, a trio of small dishes and pot pancake, which are served with a choice of Original, Extra spicy and Non Spicy.

Apart from the stew, it can also be served with snacks and cold dishes. Recommendations include Roast peppers century egg, Crispy Fried Pork, Handmade Jellied Pork Skin, Spicy Beef, Chicken Stewed Mushroom Big Dumpling, Mama’s Crystal Noodle and more.
