Bantuan Rahmah STR Phase 1 Payment Starts on Jan 29

The Malaysian Ministry of Finance announced on Twitter that Bantuan Rahmah STR Phase 1 distribution will begin on January 29. Recipients will receive up to RM500, a significant increase from last year’s maximum of RM300. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting citizens’ economic well-being, with Phase 1 allocation rising to RM2.1 billion, a 26% increase from last year.

This initiative aligns with the Civil Economy approach to improve people’s quality of life, especially for low-income households. Currently, 8.2 million Malaysians are registered for assistance, expected to rise to 9 million this year.
