Recently, an X user noticed that Uniqlo is charging more for the same shirt that they offer. Previously it was RM79.90 and now it is RM99.90. Price increases are common throughout most brands across the world. Some users state that the price increase is due to the Ringgit declining.

Some users state that the brand has a factory in Johor but they still are charging Malaysians the standard market rate. However, a business would typically charge their customer the same flat rate all over the world to control the prices of their items.
Another user suggests buying clothes from this specific brand in Japan as the prices there are significantly lower. Regardless, netizens vehemently disagree with this rhetoric as flying to Japan in itself is costly.
