The whole scandal with Family Mart appears to be coming into an end after yesterday’s press release. However, netizens are now pointing their fingers towards McDonalds for not doing the same thing as the Japanese chain store. Little do most people know, McDonalds Malaysia did release a statement months ago regarding the situation.
Netizens comparing Family Mart and McDonalds
There are several comments in lieu with netizens criticizing the chain fast food restaurant. Some Malaysians are sympathetic to the restaurant as they are hiring a lot of young locals that need the job in order to survive.
McDonalds Malaysia has stated several times that they are a separate company from their US counterparts. They even donated RM1 million for the Palestinian cause back in October 2023.
