Kedah Chief Minister fighting for football club wages
Sanusi, also President of Kedah Football Association (KFA), attributed sponsors’ withdrawal from KDA FC to the MACC’s probe into KFA corruption allegations. He suggested MACC’s takeover due to their proficiency in football team management and salary payments.
Sanusi highlighted KFA’s historical reliance on sponsorships for player salaries but lamented recent financial constraints jeopardizing KDA FC’s league participation. Despite private ownership, he assured efforts to resolve wage arrears swiftly, emphasizing public funds non-involvement in player payments.
