Johor police chief now confirms receiving bomb threat via email

Johor police chief Commissioner M Kumar confirmed that he has received a bomb threat from an individual identifying himself as Takahiro Karasawa via his official email, adding that similar email was sent to people who filed police reports too. “So far, the Johor police have received two police reports related to the bomb threat. The email was also found to be from the same address as before, which had been sent in December last year.

“We believe it is the same person and investigations found it to be a fake account. So far, Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) and myself have made police reports on the threat we received,” Kumar says, adding the police were unclear of the sender’s motive and investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrator.
