A woman showed that she received over RM2,000 for her ang pao during the Chinese New Years festival. Furthermore, for most other festive seasons, not many would receive such an amount. However, some may receive as much for Hari Raya as well.

Some users state that the reason why those who are giving a lot of ang pao money is due to luck. Giving out more during the festive season may bring better luck and prosperity to those who are giving. It is a noble thought as it promotes the elderly to give to their younger generation.
Some users are skeptical stating that the woman could’ve placed her own money in these packets. Regardless, many are corroborating with the woman citing that a lot of other people have received the same amount as her.
