PM Anwar Ibrahim, answering a citizen’s question that there are too many toll gates in KL and that the government has to do something about it, says at this moment the government can’t negotiate with the concessionaires. The authorities have to bear with the existing contracts signed in the past before his government took power.

He also says this can be done – that is renegotiation of deals – if the federal government has a very strong financial standing, unlike the current situation that is again inherited from previous governments. His answers indicate that PH will eventually keep to their promises to bring down the number of toll gates in KL and perhaps, keep the toll fees low! Good luck!
