Feminism has always been a cause for equality between men and women. Netizens are remembering Khatijah Sidek as she fought for womens rights in Malaysia. She was jailed at 30 for educating women when it comes to their political awareness.

Netizens state that her mugshot showed that she is not a woman that people can mess with. Apparently, the mugshot of her was taken in 1948, nearly 9 years before our country’s independence. 

She was from Indonesia but she moved to Malaya sometime in the 1940s. She was even invited to join UMNO, but the men in the party were not too keen in having her.
