In lieu of soaring demand for home-delivered meals in Malaysia, food delivery riders face criticism from a TikToker for perceived lack of effort. Netizens defend riders, emphasizing their humanity and need for breaks. With the gig economy flourishing, tensions escalate over labor conditions and societal expectations.

Netizens rally behind food delivery riders 

Netizens state that these food delivery riders do not have it easy. Yes they may be able to make around RM2,000 – RM3,000 a month, but the hardships include them enduring the things they need to do for their job. Customers can be extremely harsh towards these riders incase of any delays.
