An asset recovery specialist testified in the High Court that US$1.18 billion from SRC International, intended for renewable energy investments, was diverted. The money, part of a RM4 billion loan from Retirement Fund Incorporated, ended up in various offshore accounts and was later transferred to Najib Razak and his associate Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil. The lawsuit accuses them of breaching trust and conspiring to misuse company funds, implicating several other individuals and entities in the process.
