A social media user states that to rent a bazaar Ramadan slot in Kedah, it can cost between RM14,000 and RM18,000. Furthermore, X users criticized the state for being a PAS state, while charging their own people exorbitant amounts.

Bazaar Ramadan plots in Kedah allegedly expensive

They then compared to the rates in Selangor, which is significantly cheaper. Netizens joked that the price to pay for these plots is the “heavenly” price. Following that, some think that this could be a reason why the prices of food could be expensive.

Netizens state that these prices have been around for quite a long time. They claim that even before PAS took over the state, it has always been expensive. They’re blaming MBAS, which is also up for speculation.
