According to netizens, Malaysians are underpaid while living in a country that is rather wealthy. The wealth gap among Malaysians is sadly huge. Fresh graduates are barely earning anything that could cover their expenditures, while at the same time are being overworked. 

Fresh graduates in Malaysia still not earning enough 

However, some users joked that the kids these days are spending their money on unnecessary items as well. A prominent X user joked that some of these youngsters would spend thousands of Ringgit on their “soulmates” or hobbies. 

Others state that if newcomers are getting higher salaries, what about the existing staff members who came in at a lower salary range? Will they be forgotten, or will their salary eventually increase as well?
