A wild elephant sustained injuries after being struck by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) – a Porsche Cayenne – in Setiu. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. as the Porsche Cayenne SUV, driven by a company manager, Sharul Azma Che Samaon, was traveling from Rhu 10 to Lembah Bidong.

The collision injured the elephant’s leg, causing it to fall at the scene. Fortunately, the driver escaped unharmed, though the vehicle suffered significant damage. The elephant fled into the nearby forest about 10 minutes after the accident. Efforts are underway to locate the injured animal, with authorities urging caution on the road.
