Rafizi revealed this during a public dialogue on the Data Utama Platform. He emphasized the need for long-term social assistance reform, proposing monthly cash transfers of RM300 to RM400, depending on circumstances.
Delaying the PADU registration deadline would cost the government around RM2 billion monthly. Anwar Ibrahim’s Budget 2024 announced a shift from bulk to targeted subsidies. Rafizi dismissed rumors of pre-Aidilfitri fuel subsidy withdrawals, citing logistical challenges.
