The X user states that they are already paying the increased electrical costs. Netizens found it obscene that the owner decided to increase the rental rates without even paying extra for anything. The justification for this move is that units with an air conditioner have a higher rate.
This is bringing up another issue in lieu with the housing market crisis all over the world. The younger generation are unable to afford to purchase their own home, which would lead them to rent from potentially irrational landlords.
