McDonalds and Starbucks have been boycotted by Malaysians for almost half a year now. However, KK Mart was called to be boycotted after the socks incident. But, the comparison between the brands is that the KK Mart stores were quite literally attacked.
McDonalds or Starbucks not receiving target like KK Mart
Some users claim that this was a sabotage to show that our country’s majority religion, Islam, is “violent.” However, a viral tweet requests all X users to slowly digest the information, as this is an extremely unsafe situation.
Others state that McD and Starbucks are both foreign brands and are not entirely involved with the issues faced in our country. Regardless, there are calls for the government to curb this issue as the safety of others are quite literally involved.
