One of the most expensive Baju Melayus out there is apparently made out of a Loro Piana fabric. The brand is commonly known for their loafers called the Summer Walks, which retails in Europe for RM5,000+. However, their fabric is now used on one of the more higher end traditional wears in Malaysia.

Apparently, the renowned local brand, Omar Ali is selling these pieces for eye-watering prices. Netizens are not at all surprised as the brand’s history is rather long. Our first Prime Minister allegedly wore the brand’s clothes.
Some users asked if someone were to place a lighter near the material, would it burst into flames? Comments like these are typical for Malaysians to ask if something is extremely expensive.
