“Yes, we might now melukut di tepi gantang (not an important party now), but this is not the end of our political career and the world is not ending. We are being tested and we must reflect and engage in self-criticism. What has gone wrong with us, what have we done?” he asks. He also says it is not in Umno’s DNA to be an opposition party – which it has been for 22 months – and not it is back in power with other parties. “it is still given the trust to become part of the unity government and had seven ministerial positions.”
