The Minister of Women Affairs, Nancy Shukri stated that assault cases against men have increased in Malaysia. It seems that Malaysian men are agreeing to this and are suggesting that the public transportation lines have a men-only coach.

However, X users state that men are the main causes of other men being assaulted in public spaces. They add that those who are attracted to the same sex may do these sorts of things in public. It is unclear how many would do that, as there is a lack of studies done on this in Malaysia.
Others state that child abuse cases are more important in Malaysia as there are an abundant of it happening. Regardless, the situation is tricky when it comes to men as to most users, they seem to feel that women would most likely not disturb a man in public.
