Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing, announced the extension of visa-free travel for Malaysian citizens until 2025, enhancing bilateral ties. The visa-free privilege, initially introduced in November last year, now extends until the end of 2025, promoting exchanges and cooperation.

Ouyang highlighted President Xi Jinping’s decision to extend this policy for 12 countries, including Malaysia, during the Malaysia-China Commemorative Forum. The mutual visa-free entry policy has significantly increased Chinese visitors to Malaysia, exceeding 250,000 monthly.
Ouyang emphasized the enduring friendship between both nations, fostering opportunities in various sectors like digital economy and green development for the next 50 years.
