The President of the Senate, Datuk Mutang Tagal, passed away at 11:46 this morning at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur. Mutang’s passing at the age of 69 was confirmed by the Office of the President of the Senate today.

According to the statement, further information regarding the funeral and memorial service for the deceased will be announced later.
“The family of the late Mutang expresses their heartfelt thanks for the condolences and prayers received and appreciates the time given to them to face this difficult period,” the statement said. Mutang is survived by his wife, Datin Ho May Leng, and three children.
