Celebrating its first anniversary, Pinkfish transformed a KTMB train into Southeast Asia’s first festive train, the Pinkfish Express, on 16th May 2024. The musical journey commemorated a year since the inaugural Pinkfish Music & Arts Festival.
KTMB train coach becomes nightclub
Over two hours, 120 attendees, dressed in pink, enjoyed city views and live performances by local talents such as Aidaho, BATE, and Nahsyk. Founders Rohit Rampal and Kesavan Purusotman said, “We wanted to create something special for our supporters, taking ‘music that moves you’ to a new level.”
However, some netizens were unhappy, suggesting future events could be hosted in government buildings and emphasizing the need for Islamic cleansing, or “samak,” of the train coaches.
