The Johor State Fatwa Committee has decreed that the remains of the suspect who attacked the Ulu Tiram Police Station will be buried separately from other graves. This decision, made during a Special Meeting chaired by Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad, aims to deter public involvement in such acts.

The suspect’s body is barred from mosques and suraus, and funeral rites will be conducted solely at the family home. Police tightly controlled the funeral, with media restricted from the cemetery. The suspect was buried at Sungai Tiram Islamic Cemetery at 12:15 PM on May 20.
