One dead on SIA
Several media outlets in Thailand reported that about 30 passengers were injured while the airline added that the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew on board. A passenger who spoke to Reuters said turbulence led to those not wearing seatbelts hitting overhead cabins. A Singapore Airlines staff member whose wife works in the company’s crisis management team said around 20 people were heading to Bangkok on a specially chartered flight.
