The owner violated the Entertainment Enactment 2002, Section 6(1). The annual event, paused during COVID-19, was in its 10th year. Authorities were not informed, nor were approvals granted. The state has now halted such events and will monitor for rule breaches.

The resort, licensed but isolated, drew attention when party images surfaced online, sparking controversy over its appropriateness in Terengganu.
