PETALING JAYA: Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shaari has been queried by Selangor PAS Youth chief Sukri Omar over a possible conflict of interest in the state government’s appointment of a company linked to the husband of youth and sports minister Hannah Yeoh for a transit system.

Sukri Omar said Amirudin should also clearly explain why the state government handed out the project without going through an open tender. He said a state executive councillor’s explanation about the award showed “it is a direct negotiation”. The company is Asia Mobility Technologies Sdn Bhd, in which Yeoh’s husband Ramachandran Muniandy is the CEO.
