A house was recently broken into in Taman Kosas, Ampang. The unfortunate victim noted that the thief came from the ceiling of the house. Most landed properties tend to have a wooden ceiling either on the upper floors (if they’re double story) or the entire ceiling would be wooden if it’s a single story house.
Heartless robbers entering houses via ceilings
A viral Whatsapp message post states that the robbers were apparently still in the attic of the house when the owners came in. There are images of the robbers attempting to rob the house via a string of clothes for them to come down safely.
The robbers tried to steal two piggy banks (tabung in Malay), but they were unsuccessful in bringing the heavy items up. It is unclear what else was stolen, but this is a warning to those who are living in landed properties to be aware of their surroundings.
