The author, who is from a B40 family and lacks connections, claims to have achieved a basic salary of RM6,500 through job hopping. They emphasize that bosses often provide counter offers to retain employees, but this practice might indicate that better wages were possible all along.
While job hopping is typically seen as disloyalty, individuals must prioritize their own well-being. If switching jobs leads to better opportunities, it’s a valid strategy. But according to some users, this may not be a sustainable approach as HR representatives may be picky about you hopping from one job to another.
