SKSMC Hosts Successful Sunathon Benefiting 25 Children from Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Dan Asnaf Kampung Sijangkang

Klang, Friday, 31 May 2024 – In commemoration of its silver jubilee and as part of its  commitment to corporate social responsibility, Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (“SKSMC”) hosted the ‘Sunathon 2024’, offering circumcision services to children from Pertubuhan  Rumah Anak Yatim Dan Asnaf Kampung Sijangkang and other children in the local community  recently (May 28). 

A total of 25 children, aged between 6 and 12 years, received circumcision under the supervision of SKSMC’s Consultant General Surgeon, Dr. Ahmad Muhsin.

Madam Tan Suet Guan, Hospital Director of SKSMC, commented: “Celebrating our 25th  anniversary is a significant milestone for us. The Sunathon event exemplifies our enduring  commitment to the community, and we are honoured to support these children and ensure  they receive the best care possible. As we mark this special occasion, we want to reaffirm our  pledge to serve our community through more initiatives aimed at giving back to our people.” 

Puan Zaharatul Radziah Bt Mohd Noor, Supervisor from Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim  Dan Asnaf Kampung Sijangkang said: “We are incredibly grateful to Sri Kota Specialist  Medical Centre for their generosity and dedication in organising the Sunathon event. The  professional care provided by Dr. Ahmad Muhsin and his team has been a blessing for the  children.” 

Dr. Ahmad Muhsin, said: “At SKSMC, we believe in giving back to the community and  ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of their background. The Sunathon  event highlights our ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community service. 

“Most importantly, we ensured that all children received comprehensive post-procedure care  to facilitate their swift and comfortable recovery. The medical team also provided clear  instructions and guidance to caregivers on proper wound care and hygiene practices.  Additionally, SKSMC supplied all necessary medications, such as pain relievers and  antibiotics, to prevent infection and manage discomfort,” he added. 

As SKSMC commemorates its 25th anniversary, the private tertiary healthcare facility  continues its steadfast commitment to fostering CSR initiatives like Sunathon, affirming its  dedication to community welfare and healthcare excellence. 

In addition, from June to August 2024, SKSMC will host ‘Senior Citizen Free Screening,’ providing complimentary health screenings valued at RM850 for a total of 250 seniors aged  60 and above. This initiative exemplifies SKSMC’s dedication to promoting wellness and  preventive care among senior citizens.
