The recent non-halal sign allegedly stamped towards a stack of Pringles in a supermarket has gotten netizens talking. However, in 2015, Tesco UK went into hot waters after promoting a bacon flavored version of the potato snack during Ramadan.

After a series of backlash, the store obviously moved them to another place. Apparently, this issue is also rather sensitive in Europe. But, X users on our Facebook page shared their two cents towards the matter. A user states that these chips could have been the imported ones.

Others add that the retailers are probably trying to play safe with the current situation. Some fear that there will be individuals who would complain that these chips are actually not halal at all.
