An X post that went viral showed an anonymous post asking an admin if a man should buy McDonalds for his pregnant wife that is craving for their food. However, X users respond by saying that this is common sense and if you’d want to purchase said meal, just go with it.
Malaysians don’t care about McDonalds boycott
Additionally, X users state that purchasing items from the restaurant will help support the workers working in said restaurant. The boycotts have impacted the workers in the f&b industry for the last several months, and users noticed people were losing their jobs.
Furthermore, other users state that some individuals are talking about boycotting western restaurants, but at the same time are avid Facebook and X users. They find it ironic as these platforms allegedly support the war in the Middle East.
