The subsidized diesel control system (SKDS) fleet card program helps Malaysian school and express bus operators maintain current fares without burdening users. Amali Munif Rahmat, president of the Federation of School Bus Associations Malaysia, stated that the monthly diesel quota of 1,800 liters at RM1.88 per liter allows operators to control costs.

The government set the diesel price at RM3.35 per liter in the peninsula, aiming to save RM4 billion annually through targeted subsidies. Operators may review fares if future operational costs rise.
