New research by Spin Genie has identified Malaysia as the cheapest country for Michelin-starred dining, surpassing Macau, Japan, and the Netherlands. Malaysia scored 7.5/10, with Kuala Lumpur hosting the most Michelin establishments, followed by George Town, Penang.

Singapore ranked second with a score of 7.85/10, offering a range of affordable Michelin-starred restaurants. Hong Kong, now third with a score of 7.87/10, boasts 88 high-quality Michelin-starred dining options despite a 3% increase in meal costs due to new high-end additions. Conversely, Finland emerged as the most expensive country for Michelin dining, particularly in Helsinki.
