Malaysian shuttler Cheam June Wei triumphed in the Lin Dan Cup, earning RM131,000 in prize money. The independent player won the tournament, organized by badminton legend Lin Dan, after two days of intense competition from June 15-16. June Wei defeated China’s Ren Chengming 21-10, 21-14 in the final. Another Chinese player, Zhou Xinyu, secured third place.

The prize money, equivalent to a Super 500-level tournament, marked the highest men’s singles champion’s prize since the Cup’s inception. Notably, South Korea’s former world No. 1 Son Wan Ho and Heo Kwang Hee did not advance to the semi-finals.
