Malaysia lags behind work-life balance ranking
New Zealand leads with a score of 79.35 out of 100, while Malaysia ranks 59th, scoring a mere 27.51 – the second-worst country in the index after Nigeria. Challenges include limited annual leave, minimal paid maternity leave, and low minimum wage.
Malaysia’s government-funded healthcare system, average workweek of 40.8 hours, and happiness index of 5.71 out of 10 add further context.
