The boycott movement against F&B businesses allegedly tied to Israel has had a slight impact on Malaysia’s employment sector, according to the Economy Ministry. Although the F&B sub-sector’s contribution to GDP is relatively small, at 2.3% in 2023 and 2.4% in the first quarter of 2024, the ministry noted an increase in job losses.
