Netizens are stating that many would prefer to take public transportation rather than to drive. However, they add that if a commuter would have to cross a literal busy highway, walk on the middle of the road to access MRT stations, then for obvious reasons, they would love to drive.
Netizens advising politicians to make Malaysia more walkable
X users allege that this is an agenda for Malaysians to purchase more cars as it is a viable industry for the country. However, this is not proven to be true. Netizens also suggest that all the country’s politicians should take public transportation to their work and back.
Others add that there are no crosswalks for them to cross the road, no proper sidewalks and e-hailing fares are ridiculous for them to take to and fro from their homes and the respective stations nearby.
