The Kedah Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) thwarted an attempt to divert 6,130 liters of diesel and petrol during a raid on a licensed oil wholesaler in the Bukit Kayu Hitam Industrial Area yesterday.

Kedah stops diesel contraband

Director Muhammad Nizam Jamaludin said the raid, conducted by a team of KPDN Kubang Pasu officers at 8:30 am, followed two weeks of surveillance. During the raid, a 37-year-old local worker was found filling diesel and petrol into the tanks of two trailers with foreign registration numbers. Both trailers had been modified with additional tanks installed.
