Influencers Arrested: MACC Now Probes RM3 Million Public Donation Misuse

KUALA LUMPUR – The MACC has remanded four individuals, including a married couple who are influencers, for allegedly misusing RM3 million in public donation funds. The suspects, three men and one woman aged between 20 and 30, were detained while giving statements at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on Wednesday evening.

They were brought to the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin issued a four-day remand order. The couple is believed to have misused the donations since 2020. Two other suspects are also implicated. MACC Senior Director Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim confirmed the arrests.
