A GROUP of men who went viral because of a “hot” video showing them shirtless while allegedly selling durian, are now saying they were never ‘naked’ and the video went viral because of captions that angered social media users. According to an interview with Astro Gempak, one of the durian sellers said it was far from a gimmick. They went shirtless because of the scorching weather.

While they say they work at the Papa Muda durian stall in full clothes, which is their business as usual attire, the video showing their muscles flexed and cleavers in hand stirred more than just social media buzz, they’ve also prompted an official response from the Health Ministry. “We took off our shirts because it was hot. We put our shirts back on when we were selling them,” said one of the sellers, never expecting the video to go viral to the extent that they received hate and some support on social media.
