Elon Musk’s platform, formerly known as Twitter and now called X, has the lowest compliance rate with Malaysian laws among social media platforms, standing at 25%. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil highlighted issues of cyberbullying and pornography on the platform.

In contrast, Instagram and Facebook lead with 88% and 85% compliance rates, respectively. Fahmi emphasised the need to address scams, cyberbullying, and sexual crimes against children.
Investigations revealed significant fraud cases on Facebook, while TikTok faces cyberbullying challenges. Telegram, too, has issues related to fraud, online gambling, and pirated content.
