There have been a number of complaints regarding the planning behind the construction of sidewalks. For the most part, pedestrians appear to be sidelined in most developments as we are a car-centric country. However, many are feeling the inconvenience of being car-centric. 

Sidewalks built for decoration only? 

A post on X shows that a pedestrian walk was built only for it to be blocked by a highway pillar. In some cases, those who would actually need to use it will have to walk on the main road at that particular part. 

Netizens joked that this pathway is built for the sole purpose of Doraemon, a fictional Japanese animated character to use, as he will be able to teleport himself to the other side.
