A Malaysian man recently experienced a significant loss of RM18,000 during a flight from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur. He alleges that a fellow passenger stole the cash from his Louis Vuitton bag, which he had placed in the overhead compartment. 

Passenger loses RM18,000 to alleged thief on flight 

Despite securing the bag with a padlock, the thief managed to take all the money. Witnesses saw the suspicious man handling the bag and going to the washroom. The victim reported the theft to flight attendants, but immediate action was not taken. 

He advises travellers to be cautious and avoid carrying excessive cash, even when using a padlock.
