PETALING JAYA: Lee Zii Jia reached the men’s singles quarter-finals at the Olympic Games for the first time, defeating France’s Toma Junior Popov 21-13, 24-22 at the Adidas Arena. Despite a strong comeback attempt by Popov, who had earlier eliminated 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Anthony Ginting, Zii Jia remained composed.
