A 31-year-old suspect was rearrested in Johor Bahru for the kidnapping of six-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui at Eco Galleria, Iskandar Puteri, on July 20. Johor police chief CP M Kumar revealed that the suspect, initially caught with the victim in Batang Kali, Selangor, on July 23, had been released on police bail after a 13-day remand.

However, further investigation uncovered sex toys and child pornographic material at his residence in Kulai. The investigation is under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and Section 292 of the Penal Code. The suspect will appear in court for a remand order.
