The rise of the immigrant debate has crossed over to Malaysia. It appears that users are having mixed feelings about them in our country. But, there are a number defending them as they too are contributing to the country. 

Malaysians defending immigrants 

However, there are those who state that Parameswara was not an immigrant but merely travelled from state to state. Others felt that this is a bad example to be shown as he ended up ruling Melaka. 

Regardless, some state that those who are children of immigrants are no longer immigrants as they were born here.
