The priority given to cars in Malaysia is no secret. If a pedestrian wants to cross the road, they could take up to 15 minutes to do so. The traffic could be non-stop and if some who are in need to cross, would have to dangerously jay-walk across the road.

Pedestrians in Malaysia fed up waiting 15 minutes to cross Jalan Ampang

An X user recently stated that it took them 15 minutes to cross Jalan Ampang. With that said, they ended up being 5 minutes late for their appointment. The traffic lights for those who prefer to walk rarely work in the city as said by netizens.
