KUALA LUMPUR: Track cyclist Shah Firdaus Sahrom suffered a heavy crash in the men’s keirin final at the Paris Olympics today. Shah Firdaus, Great Britain’s Jack Carlin and Japan’s Shinji Nakano were involved in the final lap crash at the Saint Quentin en Yvelines Velodrome.

Shah was listed fourth in the initial results, however, it is unknown whether there will be any changes. As expected Harrie Lavreysen (Netherlands) and Matthew Richardson (Australia) claimed gold and silver. Australia’s Matthew Glaetzer took bronze.
